Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about treatment, confidentiality, cost and family visits.

Is addiction a lack of willpower or a real illness?

Addiction is a chronic illness that affects how the brain works and causes behavioural, biological and chemical changes. It is not simply a lack of willpower; it needs comprehensive, specialised medical and psychological treatment.

Is full recovery from addiction possible?

Yes. Lasting recovery and a fully healthy life are achievable. We do not promise a quick cure; instead we give patients the tools and skills to manage the illness for life, so they can take back full control of their lives.

What is the difference between addiction and a mental health disorder such as depression?

Addiction is a condition linked to the compulsive use of a substance or a behaviour, while mental health disorders affect mood, thinking and behaviour. The two often occur together (dual diagnosis), which is why we treat both at the same time to make recovery effective.

What is the first step in treatment, and how is the assessment done?

The first step is a full, confidential assessment by our medical team. We draw up an individual treatment plan based on the patient's medical history, mental state and social circumstances before deciding on the right stage of treatment.

Is detox at the Center painful?

No. We follow advanced medical protocols to manage withdrawal symptoms effectively, using the medicines and techniques needed to make this stage as safe and comfortable as possible, under round-the-clock medical supervision.

How long does a residential stay or treatment last?

There is no single answer that fits everyone. A stay may last from 30 to 90 days or longer. The right length is set according to the severity of the condition and the medical assessment, but we always focus on quality rather than time.

What is the most effective treatment for addiction?

Effective treatment is integrated and individual, combining medication, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and family therapy with relapse-prevention programmes. We do not rely on a single method; we combine them to suit each patient.

Do you guarantee complete confidentiality of patient information?

Yes. Complete confidentiality is our first commitment. All of our patients' information is handled to the highest ethical and legal standards, and neither a patient's presence nor the details of their treatment are disclosed to any third party without their explicit consent.

Can family and friends visit during treatment?

Yes. We believe in the importance of family support. Visits are arranged in line with the Center's policy and a schedule that fits the treatment plan, so patients are supported without losing their focus on recovery.

Do you accept health insurance, and how much does treatment cost?

Please contact our customer service team directly for details of insurance cover; we work with a wide network of insurance companies. The cost is set precisely after the initial assessment, based on the treatment Program and the length of treatment needed.

What happens after the residential stay ends?

The aftercare and relapse-prevention stage begins. Each patient receives a personal follow-up plan that includes outpatient clinics, weekly support groups and individual counselling, to ensure a smooth return to everyday life.

How can the family play a positive part in recovery?

We encourage families to take an active part. We offer family counselling and education sessions that help relatives understand the nature of the illness and how to give effective support, helping to build a safe home environment that supports recovery.
